(Undated)– A policy discussion on on food security next week in Spirit Lake will feature a couple of political candidates. J.D. Scholten, a candidate for Iowa’s 4th congressional district, and Democratic presidential hopeful Cory Booker are among those scheduled to participate. It’s scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, October 9th at the Spirit Lake Public Library.
Scholten will also be holding a couple of town hall events in the region next week. One of those will be held Wednesday evening, October 9th at 7:30 pm at the Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center.
Scholten will also be holding town hall meetings next week in Ashton, Primghar and Ruthven. The event in Ashton will be held Thursday, October 10th at 5:00 pm at the Legion Hall. The event in Primghar is set for 10:00 am Saturday, October 12th at the O’Brien County Courthouse. The one in Ruthven will be held later that same day, at 3:30 pm, at the Ruthven Social Center.
