(Spencer)– Nominations are being sought for some awards recognizing area businesses. Kiley Miller, CEO of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation tells KUOO news it’s for the Corridor’s annual Business Recognition Luncheon. He says they’re accepting nominations in four different categories…
“They are the small business excellence award, that’s for businesses of fewer than 30 employees; the large business excellence award, larger businesses than that; the entrepreneur of the year, and the young professional of the year. And we are looking for nominations, so if you know of a business that you think, or a professional that should be recognized, we’d encourage you to go to our website, Lakes Corridor-dot-com and download the nomination forms.”
Miller says they’ll be accepting nominations over the next couple of weeks…
“The deadline for nominations is Monday, October 21st, so if I’ve got my calendar right that’s two weeks from this coming Monday. The actual Business Recognition event is on November 13th.”
The business or individual must be located in one of the four counties served by the Corridor. The nominations will be reviewed and judged by a committee of business owners and community leaders throughout the region.
The Corridor’s annual Business Recognition Luncheon will be held Wednesday, November 13th…
“Our keynote speakers for the Business Recognition Luncheon are Jason Hutchinson and Dennis Frazee. They are the talent behind the “Develop This” podcast which covers economic development in cities from coast to coast. They’ve done more than 200 podcasts and they’re really at the front edge of what’s happening in economic growth across the nation, so we’re excited to have them here as our keynote speakers.”
Tickets and more information on the Business Recognition Luncheon can be obtained by contacting the Corridor at (712) 264-3474.
