(Spirit Lake)– A man who was wanted on multiple warrants by authorities in Clay county was taken into custody Monday evening in Spirit Lake.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it received a tip from a concerned citizen indicating 32-year-old Nathan Tesch was staying at the Super 8 Hotel in Spirit Lake.
Members of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Spirit Lake Police Department all responded to that location. Tesch was later located leaving the Super 8 and was taken into custody without incident.
Tesch was wanted for possession of drug paraphernalia, felon in control of a firearm, interference with official acts, eluding, driving under suspension, failure to maintain control, four warrants for failure to appear on charges of possession of a controlled substance, and theft in the 4th degree.
Tesch was booked into the Clay county jail and was being held on a $20,400 bond.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and that more charges are expected.
