(Spirit Lake)– Congratulations to Spirit Lake High School’s Force Marching Band on their outstanding performances at Starfest in Sioux City on September 28th. The band scored an overall 79.3 during the preliminary round of competition and received the highest overall percussion score as well as the Critic’s Choice award for “Best Cheering Section.” This earned The Force 2nd in class 3A. The band then earned a 75.1 in finals resulting in a 5th place overall finish. Special recognition goes to Brianna Dreeszen for being selected as Outstanding Durm Major.
The Force will next perform as part of the Homecoming Parade on October 3rd and at the football game that evening.
