North Central Iowa Crash Claims A Life

September 25, 2019

(Pomeroy)– A two-vehicle collision Tuesday in Calhoun county in north central Iowa claimed the life of a Lytton man.

The Iowa State Patrol identifies the victim as 61-year-old Gary Pudenz.

Troopers say Pudenz was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram that collided with a 2011 Peterbilt semi driven by 21-year-old Mitchell Stief of Cherokee.

A crash report indicated Stief was injured but doesn’t say whether or not he was taken to a hospital.

The collision took place at the intersection of Highways 4 and 7 near Pomeroy.
