(Pocahontas)– A two-vehicle collision Friday in Pocahontas county claimed the life of an Emmetsburg woman.
The Iowa State Patrol says a preliminary investigation indicates 64-year-old Michael Diischer of Pocahontas was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound on Highway 4 when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Impala driven by 52-year-old Kendra Myers of Emmetsburg.
Both drivers were taken to the Pocahontas hospital where Myers later died of her injuries.
The State Patrol say the crash took place shortly before 10:00 am and that it remains under investigation.
