Seasons Center To Hold Free Kid’s Carnival Sept. 26th

September 19, 2019

(Spencer)– Season’s Center for Behavioral Health will hold a free kids’ carnival next week in Spencer. Katie Ping, Marketing and Events Coordinator for Seasons Center tells KUOO news it will be held Thursday, September 26th from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at Autumn’s Center at 120 East 5th Street in Spencer…Kids Carnival01

“We’ll have prizes, a giant bounce house, face painting and carnival games which include an axe throwing game with no actual axes, and a homerun derby game, too. This is just such a wonderful event each year providing free family fun for families to just get out and enjoy some time together.”

Ping adds the carnival will mark a special commemoration for Autumn’s Center…Kids Carnival02

“Autumn’s Center has been open for three years now and we’ve served well over 2,500 kids in that time, individual children. One of the really key points of our free kids carnival is to have resources available in our services and programs. We just find it’s so important that even if a family is not currently in need because this kids carnival is for anyone, our whole community, they could at some point in the future need our services or need our help or may just know of someone who may benefit from our services and just ensuring people know where to turn for help when they need it.”

Ping says the carnival is being made possible by funding through the Clay County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and the Iowa Department of Public Health.
