(Cherokee)– More road work is about to get underway in the region.
The Iowa Department of Transportation’s Cherokee construction office tells KUOO news there will be intermittent lane closures on the westbound lanes of Highway 18 in eastern O’Brien county beginning June 10th, weather permitting.
Officials say traffic at O’Brien County Road M-22 west of Everly on Highway 18 will be assisted through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car, so motorists should expect delays. They say the road will be returned to normal traffic patterns when workers aren’t present.
The project is slated for completion by early July, weather permitting.
