Woman Escapes Injury In Single Vehicle Crash

(Spencer)– A Spencer woman escaped injury in a single vehicle crash last (Sun.) evening.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 34-year-old Tasha Poulin of Spencer was driving a 2008 Pontiac G8 in the 1900 mile of Highway 18 when she fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle went into the north ditch and collided with a field fence before coming to rest.

Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000 while the fence sustained an estimated $250 in damage.

Poulin was cited with failure to maintain control.

The crash took place around 6:15 pm.
