October 14, 2021 Steve Schwaller

(Rock Rapids)– A woman accused of stealing money from the George-Little Rock Booster Club has pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court. Court records show 35-year-old Shawna Henrichs entered the plea to a charge of 3rd degree theft in a plea deal. She had originally been charged with 1st degree theft.

Henrichs was sentenced to 365 days in jail with all but 30 days suspended with credit given for time served. She’ll be allowed to serve the time under electronic surveillance. Henrichs was also placed on probation for two years and was ordered to pay court costs and restitution unless she can prove she does not have a reasonable ability to pay back some or all of the money.

The George-Little Rock Booster Club reported that over $75,000 was missing from their account. Court documents indicated the alleged misappropriation of funds took place between April 10th of 2019 and December 16th of 2020.
