Weekend Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges Against E’Ville Teens

(Spirit Lake)– A weekend traffic stop has resulted in drug charges against three Estherville teens.

Spirit Lake police say officers pulled over a vehicle around 2:00 p.m. Saturday driven by 18-year-old Jordan Kayser of Estherville.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a green leafy substance alleged to be marijuana.

Kayser was arrested and charged with prohibited acts-transportation of a controlled substance, marijuana; intent to deliver a controlled substance, marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; a drug tax stamp violation; no insurance and failure to use a turn signal.

Two juvenile passengers, a 16 and a 17-year-old…both from Estherville…were charged with prohibited acts-transportation of a controlled substance, marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; a drug tax stamp violation; and possession of cigarettes.

Kayser was booked into the Dickinson county jail; the two juveniles were transported to the Youth Emergency Services Center in Cherokee.

Spirit Lake police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
