Weekend Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges Against Denison Man

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A weekend traffic stop in Clay county landed a Denison man in jail on drug charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle for a speeding violation around 2:40 a.m. Saturday in the 4600 block of Highway 71.

Authorities say a consent search of the vehicle resulted in the deputy finding a quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Jeremy Frank of Denison, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine…and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Frank was booked into the Clay county jail. He later posted bond and was released.
