(Arnolds Park)– Representatives of the Dickinson County Water Quality Commission say there continues to be a lot of interest in their grant program.
The commission was formed through a 28E agreement several years ago between all the cities in Dickinson county and the county board of supervisors. The program makes 200-thousand dollars a year available in grants for water quality projects.
Commission spokesman Steve Anderson says the filing period for the next round of grants expired October 1st. He says the commission received six applications requesting 260-thousand dollars.
Anderson says the commission will begin reviewing the applications at its next meeting October 22nd.
