Voting is underway for the Iowa Great Lakes Chamber’s annual awards, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Voting is now open for the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber’s Annual Meeting Awards.
President and CEO Blain Andera says there are four categories. “This is something that we just started last year for the annual meeting and it’s really an opportunity for us to showcase some of our businesses in the area, our Chamber Members, that really are going above and beyond and doing a great job. So, we’ve got four different categories that folks can vote for, Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Social Media Superstar and then Chamber Member of the Year. Go to okobojichamber.com and you can click on the events tab and just go to the Annual Meeting and click right there to vote. Voting ends Friday, October 15th, so you have the duration of the rest of this work week to do it.”
He notes that the Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony will be held in early November. “Monday evening, November 8th, it will be at the Majestic Pavilion at Arnolds Park Amusement Park, 5 until about 8 pm or so, the social starts at 5 and then we’ll get on with the dinner and presentation of the awards and so on after that.”
