Two Vehicle Collision Sends A Woman And Child To The Hospital

(Newkirk)– A woman and child were injured Tuesday when a vehicle they were in was involved in a collision with a delivery vehicle new Newkirk, in Sioux county.

The Iowa State Patrol says 24-year-old Ryan Bolster of Spirit Lake was driving a 2020 Chevrolet FedEx van westbound on a county road and had slowed for a stop sign when he pulled into the path of a southbound 2015 Ford Taurus driven by 31-yeara-old Natashia Guse of Sheldon.

Guse and a four-year-old passenger in her vehicle were taken by ambulance to the Orange City Hospital.

Bolster was cited for failure to yield.

Damage to the van was estimated at $2,000; damage to the car was put at $5,000.

The collision took place around 2:45 pm Tuesday.
