Two NW Iowa Counties Added To List Of Disaster Areas

November 22, 2014

(Des Moines)– Governor Chet Culver has added two more counties to Iowa’s list of disaster areas.

Culver Wednesday added Palo Alto and Pocahontas counties in northwest Iowa. The list now includes 86 of the state’s 99 counties.

A total of 70 counties have been given presidential disaster declarations.

The state declaration allows low-income Iowans to apply for a grant of up to $3,300 to help recover from flood damage.
