(Spencer)– The Boards of Trustees of Lakes Regional Healthcare and Spencer Hospital have approved a collaborative business agreement with Northwest Iowa Surgeons, P.C. Officials with the two hospitals say it will enhance long-term planning, service integration, business efficiency and physician recruitment. They add the two hospitals have collaborated on similar business arrangements with medical practices in the past.
Terms call for Northwest Iowa Surgeons to continue day-to-day clinic operations in Spencer and Spirit Lake along with outreach clinics at other hospitals in the region. The clinic will maintain its current name, office locations, telephone number and appointment process.
Northwest Iowa Surgeons have been members of Lakes Regional Healthcare and Spencer Hospital’s medical staffs for many years.
A press release says the arrangement will be effective April 1st, 2022.
