Traffic Stop Results In Charges Against Spencer Woman

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Charges have been filed against a Spencer woman in connection with a traffic stop earlier this month in Clay county.

The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle based on information the registered owner had a suspended drivers license.

Upon investigating it was determined the registered owner, 35-year-old Deanna Anderson of Spencer, was driving the vehicle. She was placed under arrest for driving under suspension.

Upon further investigation, Anderson was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a white substance that’s been sent to the DCI crime lab for testing.

Anderson was transported to the Clay county jail and was charged with driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say additional charges are pending the outcome of test results from the DCI crime lab.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Police Department.
