(Spencer)– A traffic stop has resulted in several charges being filed against a Spencer man.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Juan Carlos-Villegas of Spencer in the 4600 block of Highway 71 shortly before 6:00 a.m. Thursday for a traffic stop.
Authorities say Villegas denied having any identification on his person, but was found to be in possession of a fake California I-D. But that wasn’t the only thing in his wallet. Authorities say there was also a small amount of pot in it.
Villegas was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, no driver’s license, no insurance and speeding. He was booked into the Clay county jail.
