Traffic Stop Results In Charges Against Spencer Man

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A traffic stop Saturday morning in Spencer resulted in charges against a Spencer man.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy made the stop, knowing the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended license.

Upon investigating, authorities determined the registered owner, 25-year-old Alexis Garcia of Spencer, was driving the vehicle.

Upon further investigation, authorities found a small quantity of what’s alleged to be marijuana in the vehicle.

Garcia was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of driving while suspended, no insurance and possession of marijuana.
