(Spencer)– A Memorial Day traffic stop in Clay county has resulted in drug charges against a rural Emmetsburg man.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Peter Donahue for speeding. Authorities say a consent search of the vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
Donahue was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding.
The incident took place shortly after 9:00 a.m. Monday.
