(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop Sunday evening in Spirit Lake landed an Arnolds Park woman in jail on drug charges.
Spirit Lake police say an officer pulled over a vehicle in the 2700 block of Sunner Avenue shortly after 9:00 p.m. Sunday while investigating a report of suspicious activity.
The department’s K-9 Unit, Zeke, was deployed on the vehicle and located what’s alleged to be controlled substances.
The driver, 45-year-old Penny Lee of Arnolds Park, was arrested and was found to have a suspected controlled substance on her person.
Lee was booked into the Dickinson county jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine; unlawful possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
