Time Is Winding Down To Apply For Clay County Community Foundation Grants

(Spencer)– Time is quickly running out to apply for funds through the Clay County Community Foundation’s 2022 grant cycle. Director Connie Goeken says completed applications must be emailed and postmarked by January 15th…
“We have about $104,000 to grant in this round, and, you know, we usually receive between 25 and 35 grant applications and we’re hoping that this year people will find a project with their nonprofit organization, which is what we serve, to apply for our grants.”
Goeken says grants are awarded in two different categories…
“One is the simple grant application which is for projects that are $3,000 and below in the price tag, and the second is our standard grant application where the projects range from $3,000 to $10,000. And if people have any questions on filling out those application forms, all of which can be found on our website, they can contact me through the website at our email address, infocccf@gmail.com and that’s all included at our website.”
Goeken says since 2005, the Clay County Foundation has awarded more than $1.5 million in grants to 364 projects…
“Not only helping to jump start new programs, but also one of our main thrusts is to help support the organizations that already exist in our county. And we both know that over the last couple of years that’s been a very challenging thing for nonprofits, is to continue operating and carrying out their mission.”
Goeken adds they also have ways to connect donors with causes in Clay county that are important to them. She says that information, along with grant application forms, can be found at claycofoundation.com.
