Time Is Quickly Running Out To Renew Registrations For Snowmobiles, ATV’s & ORV’s

(Spirit Lake)– The clock is ticking to renew registrations for snowmobiles, ATV’s and ORV’s in Iowa. Dickinson County Recorder Ann Ditsworth says you need to do that before the end of 2021 to avoid penalty…

“Starting on the first, at the beginning of the year, we will have an additional five dollar fee to the DNR for registrations that weren’t renewed. So just swing on in and we’ll help you out. You can purchase both the permit and the registration. So the permit is just necessary for snowmobiles, it’s like a trail permit. ORV’s and ATV’s do not require that as long as you’re an Iowa resident.”

Those registrations are good through the upcoming calendar year of 2022.
