Maddie Poppe will return to the Roof Garden in November, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present Maddie Poppe’s Acoustic Christmas on November 21 at the Roof Garden Ballroom.
Executive Director Clay Norris says the American Idol Champion has performed in the Iowa Great Lakes before. “She did her first Acoustic Christmas tour last year on December 15 at the Roof Garden and then she came back on July the 2nd, just a general show. Both of those were very well received and the audience just really loved listening to her”
He notes that this show is a kick off for her national tour. “She’s playing here and then, later on her tour, she’s going to Philadelphia and New York City, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Nashville, and that’s just a few. I think there might be 3, maybe 4, dates in Iowa. She starts here and she ends in Cedar Falls on New Year’s Eve. That’s where she’s from is the Cedar Falls area.”
