(Spirit Lake)– One of Spirit Lake’s most dangerous intersections could be getting some improvements.
41st Street, which connects Highway 71 with the YMCA, was never completed this fall due to the weather.
In a meeting Tuesday with the contractor, the city council expressed frustration over the issue, saying a lack of turning radiuses at the intersection has made it very dangerous.
The contractor agreed to pay for the city to install some cold mix asphalt to expand the radiuses until they can be permanently paved next spring once the frost goes out.
