(Paullina)– Some northwest Iowa teachers have hit it big in the Iowa Lottery.
10 teachers at South O’Brien Elementary School in Paullina went together and purchased a Powerball ticket that was good for 200-thousand dollars. After taxes, each member of the group will receive 14-thousand dollars.
One of the teachers, Claudia Anderson of Paullina, says they’ll donate a portion of their winnings toward a new playground at the school.
