November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Burglary charges have been filed against three men in connection with an incident Saturday afternoon in rural Clay county.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of suspicious activity around 3:30 p.m. in the area of 1250 380th Street near Everly. A caller stated that there was a suspicious vehicle in the area and that atleast one person was going through some buildings.

Upon arriving the Clay county K-9 deputy discovered the suspect vehicle behind one of the buildings with a male in it. The deputy discovered another subject fleeing on foot from one of the buildings.

The K-9 was deployed at that time and authorities say three suspects were apprehended. They’re identified as 38-year-old Gary Janssen and 19-year-old Brandon Storm…both of Primghar; and 38-year-old Jon Rooke, Junior of Ashton. All three were charged with burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony. They were booked into the Clay county jail.
