Surge In COVID Cases Shuts Down Classes, Activities In One Area School District

(Worthington, Mn.)– A surge in COVID cases has shut down classes and activities in the Worthington, Minnesota School District. Classes and activities were called off Friday. The closure continues today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday) with no in-person or distance learning, no sports or school activities as well. School officials say no attendance will be taken and the school days for the calendar and whether or not they will be made up hasn’t been decided yet.

In a statement, school officials say they’ll be monitoring numbers and will evaluate further later today (Monday).
