(Spirit Lake)– Minor injuries were reported Wednesday in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 71 and 100th Street at the Iowa/Minnesota border.
The Iowa State Patrol says 26-year-old Justin Hesby of alpha was westbound on 100th Street and had stopped for a stop sign when he pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Douglas Svoboda of Milford who was northbound on Highway 71.
Hesby sustained minor injuries but didn’t seek immediate treatment; no injuries were reported to Svoboda.
Hesby was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and no valid driver’s license.
10-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 2001 Ford pickup driven by Hesby and to a 2006 Chevrolet Svoboda was driving.
The collision took place shortly before 8:00 a.m.
