November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– 28 singers from the Spirit of Harmony Chorus, under the direction of Judy Weipert, took home first place medals in the Division “A” Chorus Competition this past Saturday in Fargo, North Dakota.

The chorus also received second place medals in the overall competition, right behind the Twin Cities Show Chorus who had 59 singers on stage.

Competitors were judged in four categories: sound, music, expression and showmanship. The Spirit of Harmony Chorus placed first in the showmanship category with their performances of “What I’ll Do” and “Toot Toot Tootsie”.

The Spirit of Harmony Chorus is now getting ready to perform at the Harmony Classic, an international Sweet Adeline competition, restricted to the top five scoring Division “A” choruses in the world.
