(Spirit Lake)– There’s a vacancy on the Spirit Lake city council.
Councilman Jeff Thee announced at the end of Tuesday’s meeting he’ll be resigning effective January 1st, 2007.
Thee says he and his wife and family will be moving to Cedar Rapids.
Thee is proud of the growth in Spirit Lake during his three years on the council. Looking ahead, he says it’s an exciting time for Spirit Lake, but adds there are plenty of challenges ahead, including getting the new City Administrator on board and holding the line on the city’s property tax asking while continuing the growth.
Thee thanked the residents of Spirit Lake for giving him the opportunity to represent them on the council.
