Santa’s Village returns to downtown Spirit Lake on Saturday, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Spirit Lake Chamber of Commerce will hold their Santa’s Village on Saturday.
Director Regina Reed says, it’s a full day of family-friendly activities. “The first event starts at 9:30. The majority of everything will be done around 3. So, the kids will get to do everything from decorating cookies, getting their picture taken with Santa, with the Grinch, with Mrs. Claus, making reindeer food, getting to see live reindeer this year, as well. They will have treasure hunts going on, some camp games. So, the Library is going to host a few different people. There will be horse and carriage rides. There will also be some places they can go and make ornaments. So, pretty much anything and everything going on. The kids should really just have a great time.”
She notes that Spirit Lake High School Students will be performing throughout the day. “There’s going to be some kids from the band who are going to go through town from store to store playing some music for us and getting everybody in the holiday spirit.”
Most events are free, however there will be a small fee for ornaments.
