Spencer Traffic Stop Results In Two Arrests

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A traffic stop early Friday in Spencer resulted in charges against two people.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Alexander Larson of Spencer shortly after 4:30 a.m.

A subsequent check found Larson had been driving under suspension. He was placed under arrest and booked into the Clay county jail.

A search of the vehicle turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Upon further investigation and questioning, authorities arrested 18-year-old Michael Mell of Spencer. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also booked into the Clay county jail.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Police Department.
