Spencer Police Nab Suspected Burglars

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Alert residents who noticed suspicious activity and reported it. Spencer police say that’s what led to the arrests of several people over the weekend on burglary charges.

Authorities say 19-year-old Brady Shuck and 20-year-old Joshua Haburn…both of Spencer…were arrested after a resident in the 500 block of East First Street observed the pair breaking into a pair of parked vehicles in the early morning hours. The resident followed the pair while keeping police informed on a cell phone.

Shuck faces four counts of third degree burglary and public intoxication; Haburn was charged with four counts of third degree burglary and one count of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana.

Authorities say the items taken from the vehicles have been recovered and are being returned to their rightful owners.

Spencer police have also arrested 39-year-old Daniel Garcia Amador-Perez of Spencer on a charge of third degree burglary and public intoxication. Authorities say it stems from a report of a burglary in the 10 block of West First Street. Authorities say Amador-Perez was seen fleeing that area. They caught up with him about a block away.
