(Sioux City)– A Spencer man has pleaded guilty to federal meth charges. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 55-year-old Armando Reyes pleaded guilty February 18th to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and two counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
At a plea hearing Reyes admitted that on two separate occasions between January 2020 and February 2021 he and others distributed more than a quarter of a pound of pure methamphetamine to individuals cooperating with law enforcement. On February 3rd, 2021, Reyes and others distributed about three pounds of meth through the U.S. Postal Service through the Spencer Post Office.
Sentencing will be scheduled upon completion of a presentence report.
