(Spencer)– A Spencer man has been arrested on sex abuse charges following an investigation by Spencer police.
18-year-old Eric Khounlo of Spencer turned himself in to law enforcement earlier this week.
He is accused of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl. According to Iowa law, sexual contact with a person 14 or 15 by another who is four or more years older constitutes a violation of the law.
Khounlo is charged with third degree sexual abuse, a class “C” felony.
He turned himself in to the Spencer Police Department on Monday. Khounlo was booked into the Clay county jail on bond of 13-thousand dollars.
