Spencer City Council Adopts Food Truck/Transient Merchant Ordinance

(Spencer)– An ordinance regulating food trucks and transient merchants is on the books in Spencer. The City Council Monday evening granted final adoption of the new regulations. Mayor Steve Bomgaars says it took some time to put together, but he’s pleased with the final outcome of the ordinance…

“A lot of input was received. It was not a fast process, it was a slow process, but sometimes that’s how these kinds of things go. And the food truck operators that I talked with over the past several weeks were very appreciative of the fact that they were allowed input, and the fact that their input actually resulted in some changes to the ordinance.”

The vote giving final approval to the ordinance was unanimous.
