(Arnolds Park)– Officials with Historic Arnolds Park, Incorporated are working on getting a special designation for one of the park’s most historic attractions.
The board of directors of Historic Arnolds Park, Incorporated was updated Wednesday on plans to apply for a designation that would place the Legend Roller Coaster on the National Register of Historic Places.
Officials feel their chances of getting the designation are much better by making the application specific to the roller coaster intead of the entire park.
If approved, the designation would help protect the historic integrity of the roller coaster and possibly make it eligible for some special restoration grants.
