(East Lake Okoboji)– The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a snowmobile accident that took place shortly after midnight Friday on East Lake Okoboji near the Ritz.
Authorities say 25-year-old Shane Neavin of Spirit Lake was westbound on a 2002 Arctic Cat when he struck a mound of snow, causing him to lose control. The snowmobile rolled end-over-end several times, ejecting Neavin.
Neavin was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with incapacitating injuries.
Damage to the snowmobile was estimated at 1,800-dollars.
