(Undated)– It’s been a busy morning (Monday) for tow truck operators.
Snow blowing across roads, sticking, melting and re-freezing sent scores of motorists slipping and sliding into ditches.
Most of the problems have been on Highway 71 between Milford and Spencer.
Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported.
In one of the more serious mishaps, a woman lost control of a vehicle on County Road M-49, or old Highway 276, on the northwest side of Big Spirit Lake. The vehicle slid off the road and went down an embankment, coming to rest on the ice on Big Spirit Lake. The woman managed to get out of the vehicle uninjured and walked to a nearby house where she contacted authorities.
