The Force Marching Band of Spirit Lake High School placed 2nd in Class 3A preliminary competition this past Saturday at the Starfest Marching Band Competition in Sioux City. They also earned the caption award for Outstanding Field Commanders in Class 3A. In finals competition, the Force earned 2nd place overall and received the caption awards for Outstanding Color Guard and Outstanding Visual Performance.
The Force will perform next at the IHSMA State Marching Contest in Sheldon and the Dutchman Field Championships in Orange City October 9th.
