(Spirit Lake)– 10 Spirit Lake High School Band Students were selected for the Northwest Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor Band this past Saturday.
Students prepared and performed live auditions at Storm Lake Middle School this past Saturday. Special congratulations go to Mikayla Mingus for earning first chair on flute in the Blue Honor Band.
The students will perform at Morningside College in Sioux City on January 8.
Students selected include Owen Meerbeek (trombone), Blane Fullmer (Trumpet), Corbin White (Trombone), Ivan Zheng (Tenor Sax), Blake Fullmer (Trumpet), Sam Hawkins (Euphonium), Callie Taylor (Bari Sax), Mikayla Mingus (Flute), Bianca Hunt (Alto Sax), and Anna Frangenberg (Flute).
