SL Traffic Stop Results In Pot Discovery; Charges Against Two Teens

(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop shortly after 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Spirit Lake resulted in officers finding a green, leafy substance alleged to be marijuana.

Spirit Lake police say the 17-year-old female driver was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and no insurance.

A 17-year-old male passenger was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…third offense…an aggravated misdemeanor.

The two juveniles, who’s names weren’t released, were taken to the police station where they were released to the custody of their parents.
