SL Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges Against Sioux City Man

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop Friday night in Spirit Lake resulted in drug charges against a Sioux City man.

Spirit Lake police say officers pulled over a vehicle shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Highways nine and 71 near Hy-Vee.

Upon investigating, officers determined the driver, 32-year-old Warren Wren of Sioux City, was driving without a valid license.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Wren and a passenger, 29-year-old John Dailey also of Sioux City, were both arrested and booked into the Dickinson county jail.

Wren was charged with driving while suspended and no insurance; Dailey was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…third offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
