(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop shortly before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday resulted in drug charges against a LeMars man.
Spirit Lake police say officers pulled over a vehicle on Highways 9 & 71 for a traffic violation and noticed passengers with open containers.
A subsequent search resulted in the discovery of a green leafy substance alleged to be marijuana along with some drug paraphernalia.
Some other passengers were cited for open container and released.
Hemmelman was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
