(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop Friday in Spirit Lake resulted in charges against three people.
Spirit Lake police say officers pulled over a vehicle shortly after 11:00 p.m. at the corner of 28th Street and Hill Avenue.
Authorities say a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up some alcohol and a green leafy substance alleged to be marijuana.
The driver, 20-year-old Danielle Wigen of Spencer, was charged with speeding, possession of a controlled substance and possession of alcohol.
A passenger, Caitlin Haning of Milford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, open container and possession of alcohol.
Another passenger, Lucas Schroeder of Spirit Lake, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, open container and possession of alcohol.
