(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake school district’s search for an interim superintendent continues.
School Board President Beth Will gave an update on the search at Monday evening’s board meeting. She says today (Tues.) is the deadline for candidates to submit an application. Will says the consultant that’s assisting the district in the search had already received a number of good applications as of Monday.
Will says the school board will likely meet next week to consider the candidates.
She says they’re still on target to have an interim superintendent on the job by August 1st. That’s when Superintendent Tim Grieves steps down to take over the reigns at the Northwest Area Education Agency in Sioux City.
