(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake Fire Department was called to a report of smoke in a house around midnight last (Monday) night.
Fire Chief David Kollasch says firefighters were called to 16480 Bayside Drive on the west side of West Lake Okoboji.
Kollasch says there was no actual fire. Upon investigating, he says they determined the smoke was coming from a malfunctioning boiler.
Kollasch says firefighters ventilated the house and that there was no damage.
Spirit Lake firefighters were on the scene about a half hour.
