(Spirit Lake)– A fire alarm at the Antler’s Hotel building in uptown Spirit Lake sent the Spirit Lake Fire Department into action this (Wed.) afternoon.
As it turns out, Fire Chief David Kollasch tells KUOO news the alarm was false.
Kollasch says some construction dust apparently got on a sensor, triggering the alarm. The building is undergoing a massive remodeling.
Firefighters were on the scene about 45 minutes as they went floor-to-floor making sure there wasn’t actually a fire.
